The Red Cross will host a blood drive in the parking lot of Anytime Fitness on Mon., Aug. 17th from 3 - 7 p.m. This is part of the city-wide "Battle of the Badges" in which participants vote for their favorite heroes - firefighters or police. This event is free and open to the public. This is your opportunity to leisurely tour Oak Cliff and see local artists in the natural habitats. Maps are available at each of the stops. The tour runs from 12:00-6:00 PM, and is followed by a reception at Mighty Fine Arts Gallery. A whole day full of art and fun!

Free Event 

On April 25th local Galleries and studios will open their doors to celebrate
the First Annual Oak Cliff Art Walk with receptions and festivities. Woks in
many mediums will be on display and available for purchase. Visit each
destination at your own pace.

The event will include live music, complimentary refreshments and beverages,
a unique art experience at each venue (including a Beatles themed
reception), a large group of bicyclists visiting each location, and of
course, quality art available for purchase. 

Participating galleries: Cube Creative (a new gallery on Tyler St)., The
Ice House Cultural Center, Soda Gallery, Decorazon, Texas Theater, 9th
Street Town Homes, Bishop Arts Studio Co-op, Mighty Fine Arts and many more!
